Free copy of Criminal costs - legal aid costs in the criminal courts for delegates!

After years of uncertainty solicitors and barristers now know the contract and Regulations that will apply to their costs claims for the foreseeable future. This course has been completely updated so that it covers every aspect of costs law that applies from 1 April 2016.

The course covers:

- Heads of claim and enhancement

- Identifying separate matters at the police station

- Identifying core costs; category and the number of cases at the magistrates courts

- Taking advantage of graduated fees in the crown court including page count and electronic page count; number of cases; classification and categorisation

- Fully recovering disbursements

- Payments on account; appeals and time limits

- Spotting the LAA traps

The aim of the course is to ensure that every practitioner is making the maximum proper claim available to them. It is anticipated that the costs of the course will be more than recovered, over a relatively short period of time, by increased claims.

*The free copy will be dispatched on full payment of the course fees. In the event of LAG having to cancel the course we will refund the course fees minus £50 to account for the price of the book. Please note the free book is only available to delegates booking on the commercial or standard rates.
