Q How do I find out if LAG will be running a course on a particular area in the future?

We publish our spring and autumn course programmes online as soon as these are confirmed. But if the course you're interested in is not featured please e-mail lag@lag.org.uk as we may have some additional dates available.

Q How do I find out if you still have places available for a particular course?

Please call 020 7833 2931.

Q I don't want to book a course place online, how else can I do it?

We can accept telephone bookings if you are paying with a credit card or debit card. Tel: 020 7833 2931. Or e-mail details of the course you wish to attend, and your personal details, to: lag@lag.org.uk. Alternatively, you can print off and complete the Booking form (pdf: 28Kb) and and fax it back to us on: 020 7837 6094 or post to: Legal Action Group, The National Pro Bono Centre, 48 Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1JF.

Q What is the difference between the standard rate and the commercial rate?

The standard rate applies to statutory and not for profit organisations whereas the commercial rate applies to commercial organisations, including barristers and solicitors in private practice. Both rates can be booked online.

Q Are there any concessionary places available?

A number of concessionary places are available on each course at £155 + VAT for students, unwaged delegates and small voluntary organisations with fewer than eight members of staff. Legal Action magazine subscribers qualify for a 10% discount, available to individual subscribers paying their own course fee, or a subscriber firm or organisation booking places for employees. LAG members also get a 10% discount on full-price courses. For more information e-mail: lag@lag.org.uk.

Q Would you be able to invoice my organisation?

Any request to pay fees by invoice will be considered, but LAG reserves the absolute right not to invoice and to request immediate payment. If LAG agrees to invoice, all outstanding fees must be paid within 14 days of the date of the invoice. In any event, all payments must be received at least seven days in advance of the course date, unless otherwise agreed with LAG. If these conditions are not complied with, LAG reserves the right to cancel the course booking.

To request an invoice, please fill in the relevant information at check out or send details in writing (fax: 020 7837 6094 or e-mail: lag@lag.org.uk) with details of the delegate's name and any dietary and accessibility issues.

Q How do I gain my CPD points?

If you wish to claim course attendance as part of your Continuing Professional Development, please ensure you sign the registration form when you arrive for your course.

Q I'd like to cancel a pre-booked place on a course, is it possible to get a refund?

All cancellations must be made in writing. Please note that if cancellation occurs up to 15 days before the course start date, LAG will charge an administration fee of £30 + VAT. If cancellation occurs 14 days or less before the course start date, the full course fee + VAT is payable.

Q I have an idea for a course that LAG might like to run, who should I contact?

We are always open to new ideas, please e-mail the details to the Training Department at: lag@lag.org.uk

Q What is LAG policy on making training courses accessible?

Training courses are presented in accessible venues with induction loop systems and sign language interpreters, if required. When possible, content will be provided in advance of an event. Please e-mail: lag@lag.org.uk for information about wheelchair accessibility and dietary or other requirements. When booking, you can also indicate your requirements on the booking form in the space provided. Every effort will be made to ensure your needs, as requested, are met.
